Dog Training

For 25 years, Ellie Ross's program at Wag and Train was the most popular program in town.  We are pleased to have this continue here at PupTown.

Ellie has been training dogs for over 30 years using Positive reinforcement while not being permissive about unwanted behaviours. There is a big difference between training and behaviour and Ellie's program addresses both.  Classes are designed specifically for the Family Dog.  In addition to the common obedience skills, classes also address manners such as jumping up, counter surfing,  boundary training, polite meet and greet of dogs and people and so much more. You will gain a huge education about how dog's learn, which provides a lifetime of value for you and your dogs.  

This program is a 7 week program designed for (but not limited to) puppies 5 months and  younger on the start date.

This program includes the ever popular learning theory class, Potty training on cue, Crate training, Introduction to basic obedience skills, Life saving Recall skills, Proper handling, basic grooming, nutrition and socialization with other puppies and people. 

This program is designed for the family dog and provides an excellent foundation for further education.

This 7 week program is designed for dogs 6months and older (to any age) that are a family pet.  This course provides the learning theory, basic obedience and an ongoing emphasis on manners.   We teach in a way that sets up the dog to know how to make good choices so that you don't spend a lifetime of directing their behaviour. Do you want a dog that just knows when to settle, knows to walk beside you, knows how to behave or a dog that you always have to tell them what to do.?   This program is far more than just sit, down, stand, stay, heel etc.
